Congratulations to Roxanna Pierce for being presented with the 2007 Paul Fee Award at the 2007 District 63 Spring Conference. This award is presented at the Spring Conference to an individual Toastmaster who has contributed the most to publicity efforts at the club, area, division, and district level.  Nominees are submitted by Division Governors and selected by group consensus of the District Governor, Lieutenant Governors, and Public Relations Officer. This award was created by then-District Governor Paul Shahan in memory of the 1993-94 District Public Relations Officer, Paul Fee, ATM, who started the Volunteer Speakers Bureau and the PRO-gram newsletter.
 
Congratulations to our club for accomplishing the Talk Up Toastmasters Membership Drive challenge. Five new members were welcomed to our club between February 1st - March 31st. Welcome to Wanda Pierce, Tammy LaPoint, Jewel Crawford, Malcomb Richards, and Michele Ford.

Andrea was selected as Toastmaster of the Year for District 63! Andrea was also elected Lt. Gov. of Marketing for District 63 at this year's District 63 Conference May 12-13, 2006, at Barren River Lake State Park Resort.

On May 2, 2006, the James K. Polk Toastmasters Club inducted several new members during our Member Induction Ceremonies. Area Contest:
Our Club was represented VERY well at the Area 54 International Speech Contest and Table Topics Contest Tuesday, March 21st. Congratulations to Debbie Field for winning the Table Topics Contest, and to Anne Kaderabek for winning second place in the International Speech Contest! Thanks to all club members who attended the event, helped out with roles, and came to support our club representatives!

CLUB CONTEST:
The James K. Polk Toastmasters Club held its Club International
Speech Contest and Club Table Topics Contest February 7th.
Troy Kinsel congratulated the winners.

On March 14, 2006, the club conducted an open house and demonstration meeting in the James K. Polk building lobby (next to the elevators, which allowed us to snag several guests!). The meeting had a great turnout! What a success! Photos: A display board table (right of picture) provided information and other materials to guests.
